How to write blog – ultimate tips for writing good articles


How one can start writing blog articles is a million dollar question. There are many net gurus from where you can get advice but ultimately you have to write. During our childhood when we learned walking, definitely someone helped us but finally the zeal of walking came from within us. Similarly take ideas from corners but start writing and you will learn.

Perfect planning


Don’t move with the trends. Decide the topic first and it should be your own choice. Never try writing on topics on which you have no interest. This just like studying Engineering, Medical, General courses or any other streams. A student having great aptitude in English literature studying Engineering, what will happen? You might have seen many of your friends who are unhappy with their streams or professional life. This is mainly because they were unaware of their area of interest. Don’t try to write anything where you feel lack of enthusiasm.


Select suitable title


The title of a blog should tell about your article. The title should effectively communicate the topic of the page's content. Titles should be short and informative. Each page should have unique title. The title should not be too lengthy. Title should be within 55-60 characters and use the words which are supposed to be used by people while searching. Suppose you are writing the review of a film titled ‘Kahaani’, the title may be like this ‘Story cast and crew review of film Kahaani’. This is not necessary that the title should be grammatically a correct sentence.

Titles starting with 'Top 10', 'Top 5' etc shows better results.


Write a meta description


The article should with a description and appropriate length of a description is 150-160 characters. Description is a snippet of your article and search engines generally truncate snippets longer than 160 characters

Never use generic descriptions like "This is a web page" or "Page about baseball cards" or don’t use only keywords


The main article


Start writing an article with the conclusion and then move towards the body of the blog post. The initial 4-5 lines of your article should contain the main theme of the article so that it becomes easier for the reader to understand what he / she would find in the article.
 Use bullets, lists and Highlight to capture readers attention. Use Sub-Headings to highlight a particular section of your article. Use appropriate images
